As a BDM/Analyst, I am responsible for identifying, investigating and developing new and expanded business opportunities with the Calgary Region to contribute to corporate objectives. This role collaborates with brokers to understand and achieve rate and retention goals. Manage the sales function by identifying opportunities and assisting in the design and implementation of new and/or improved sales programs and products which will pursue new business, produce new sales, and achieve growth in targeted markets are key accountabilities of my position. In addition, I provide marketing support such as event management, project management and creating and executing communication plans for our regional strategies and branding initiatives. Key actions to manage the analysis of territory and marketplaces by monitoring the market/competition, anaylzing industry results, company results, legal and economic climate, and setting goals for strategic business development. Communicate new information to brokers and recommend internal workflow changes as necessary so as to continue to provide quality service. Monitor Broker business plans to ensure objectives/targets are met and investigate as required. Coordinate regional premium plans for assigned territories and manage the development of action plans to attract new clients and brokers, targeting specific types of business, monitoring the results and reassessing if necessary.Business Development:Develope knowledge of all broker administration functions including broker contracts, profit sharing and incentive agreements, broker premium commitments, Broker Information Centre and all advertising and cost sharing programs.Provide support to BDM colleagues and assist with prep of broker tracking & production reports, business plans and submission activity reports. Prepare and produce reports for use to assist Northbridge and broker partners in achieving business plan targets.
