I am a tenured Associate Professor in the Department of Political Science at the University of Central Oklahoma. I also serve as the Coordinator of the Disaster Management Certificate (post-graduate) and Coordinator of Undergraduate Internships for the department.I served as a Co-Coordinator of the MPA program from July 2021-June 2023, the Director of the Leadership Minor from January 2021-June 2024, Academic Affairs Equity Advocate from January 2022-May 2024, and Faculty Senate President from May 2022-May 2024. My primary expertise lies in gender and minority representation within public administration, particularly focusing on emergency management agencies. My research extends to emergency management issues related to underrepresented populations, intersectional feminism, consensus building, community empowerment, social innovation, sustainability, and organizational transparency. Professionally, I am deeply committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion, leading various initiatives aimed at fostering an inclusive academic environment. My skills encompass database creation, information management, creative marketing, and fundraising, with a specialty in the large-scale organization of personnel and goods.
