GE Oil & Gas is a world leader in advanced technology equipment and services for all segments of the oil and gas industry. The Oshkosh facility designs, builds, and services large centrifugal and reciprocating compressors and compressor systems for these market segments.Reporting to the Project Engineering Manager. Responsible for all technical aspects of the design, build, and commissioning of the compressor train. Accountable for specification and integration of all externally fabricated purchased components including drivers (electric motors, steam turbines, and expanders), gears, clutches, and lube oil systems. Oversee all internal Engineering activities including compressor flange-to-flange hardware, system monitoring and warning components, piping, and control systems required. Act as sole technical point of contact for the customer including customer visits and inspections of vendor supplied products.Consistently responsible for multiple global projects with values of over $20M.Lead projects requiring single stage and multi-stage centrifugal compressor designs, bringing them to completion on time and under budget with contribution margins of over 20%.Accountable for resolution of all technical Manufacturing issues through work with US and international customers, suppliers, and internal Engineering.Create specifications and oversee testing of products to assure compliance with contract requirements.Assist Application Engineering group with interpretation of customer specifications and determination of compressor and train requirements for creation of compressor train quotations.Support Project Manager with all technical changes to the contract including costing and scheduling impact.
