Recently, I have felt the need to go back to my roots of journalism and directing. Having embraced business coaching working with social entrepreneurs, working through their strategy, business model and manage their work in smarter ways, I`ve seen they have such amazing insights, incredible journeys and stories to share other than the powerful work they do.For this, I have started a YouTube channel:To showcase stakeholders in the social sector through a talk show about their organisations, journeys and experiences - giving them more visibility for better collaborations leading to bigger social impact.

FounderIn Pursuit Of... Sep 2023 - PresentNew Delhi, Delhi, IndiaWe are In Pursuit Of... building role models in the sector. Showcasing stakeholders of the Indian social sector in an easy video tête-à-tête where they can share freely, and where they can also learn from each others` experiences. Each has a powerful story to tell. The social sector is also ridden with cynicism with regards to transparency, and efficiency, and we hope to dispel those myths with these authentic conversations. -
ParentSelf 2015 - PresentParenting has been a hard but immensely enjoyable journey for me. I am an only parent, however, this has made me more mindful in everything I do. It has given me a sense of purpose beyond my own cocoon and work towards my long term goal of helping people.Other than that, being an only parent has taught me how to be the good cop and bad cop simultaneously. It has also taught me incredible planning and time management skills to manage it all. Being an only parent has allowed me to develop the muscle of taking-perspective in any and every situation and has also pushed me into better self and relationship management. And it is teaching me that it can be a win-win when children are raised by the village. So, I am learning to not be super-mom but seek help from parents, extended family, and neighbors when the need arises,

Executive CoachUnltd India Jan 2021 - Mar 2024I work with start-ups/ entrepreneurs and senior managers in building their organisations and their own leadership skills. I am interested in helping new organisations streamline their efforts, manage smarter and have a clear path for the way forward. As an example: I am currently working with UnLtd India as an Incubation Coach for a number of social entrepreneurs in each cohort. I support them according to where they are both mentally, and in the leadership/organisation/team/ business building process. Emotional and mental support is an essential element of the coach's role. This project is a good combination of coaching and my passion for being able to make a difference.I brought in my background in the arts into coaching and was given the opportunity to share this unique technique at an International Coach Federation meet for 1.5 CCEU points. I`ve given a TedX talk as well on my work in using Art in coaching.I enjoy facilitating learning sessions as well, and have conducted many at some top corporates including Boeing, Godfrey Philips, Accenture, IIT Delhi among others. -
Brand StrategistVarious Clients Jan 2008 - Aug 2015Brand Strategy and Communications has a direct impact on marketing and sales. Creating a strategy for the true representation of a brand, implementing it seamlessly into the day to day working, andgetting the brand message across subtly but surely. As an example: While heading the Branded Content department at Zoom Television in 2009-10, my team and I created and executed 23 television series for different brands like Nivea, Loreal Paris, Hong Kong Tourism among others. We integrated their brand message seamlessly into the content of our tv shows funded by the client, thus helping the client with smart, subtle, indirect marketing. This earned the channel a revenue of 12 Cr.In 2022-23, I created and implemented the branding and communications strategy for UnLtd India. In the past, I introduced video and branded content at Oxfam India. -
ProducerVarious Companies 2005 - 2012The producer is the glue that holds a film production together, working in close association with the director, cast, and crew on a daily basis. Donning the producer hat, I undertook on-set logistics, management, creating and managing a budget, and supervision of the nitty gritties of a show. As a producer, there is a mountain of responsibility that comes with the title including sharp leadership skills and team management. As an example: I was producer for a National Geographic documentary that UTV was awarded in 2007. It was an accident investigation and recreation of the Bombay High oil rig that collapsed into the sea. With a budget of 1 Cr, we made the documentary over a period of two years, with recreating the episode using sets, actors and deciding to use a 3D computer graphics interface which had never been done in an Indian made documentary at that time. -
Creative DirectorVarious 2000 - 2012As a documentary filmmaker and non-fiction shows director, I`ve scripted numerous shows, built series, led upto 50 crew members on sets, directed many top anchors in the television industry, directed multicam live events.I`ve filmed extensively in the remote interiors of India and interviewed senior personalities including names like Gurcharan Das, Ruskin Bond, John Abraham, Nana Patekar among others, for documentaries on BBC World and National Geographic Channels, Doordarshan, Channel V and Zoom Television. Being a Director requires really good people skills. As an example: in 2004, I directed a documentary for a series called Business Bizarre on BBC World. It followed unusual business successes in India. For that I directed a documentary on a social enterprise, the Honeybee network founded by Prof. Anil Gupta off IIM-A. It finds and incubates innovators and inventors from rural India. I travelled extensively across rural Uttarakhand, Gujarat and the tribal areasof Saurashtra to film this. This is where my love for the social sector began.
