With four years of experience covering hard news, features, op-eds, profiles, broadcast, photojournalism, radio, fashion, and entertainment, she has dabbled in it all. Her passion, however, lies in storytelling, which was further affirmed when she was awarded the Derek Rider Award of Storytelling Excellence.Apurva was born and raised in Dubai and moved to Toronto in 2021. Her experiences as an immigrant and person of colour in Canada have been a huge part of her identity and work. She often finds herself driven by those experiences and hopes to be a representative of her community. For the past two years, Apurva has also been dabbling within the social media world part-time and hopes to develop those skills further.
