Technical customer service and sales for about 50 different pulp mills in Europe and Russia.In the beginning work included specialist role for paper chemical applications in board mill in Turkey and mills in Egypt and Tunis. Work was implementing chemical trials in customer sites and making technical report of them and to create sales arguments for marketing.Technical customer service for pulp mill customers was collecting their chlorine dioxide production data and analyzing it for process improvement. Chlorine dioxide is bleaching chemical made out of Sodium Chlorate, which is one of the biggest pulp chemicals Kemira is providing.Main target in this role was to increase sales of the pulp mill defoamers, which had strong market share in North America, but not in Europe. Several trials where performed and different needs for nordic wood using pulp mills where observed, next step was to develop totally new defoamer for North European pulp mill needs. As a member of R&D steering team I had good change to be part of development and as a new product Launching Manager, I was performing and reporting of technical trials as well as building sales and marketing material.Customers for brown stock washing defoamer increased from 1 to over 20 in about 5 years and sales increased from 1 million to over 10 million euros.I participated to several sales trainings' courses, project management course and Salesforce CRM-tool trainings.

Task was to start local customer service in Vaasa, Finland for optical brighteners and colorants which were new application areas for local sales after Lanxess Paper Chemicals acquisition.

Target of the expatriate contract after business acquisitions with investor visa was to transfer technology between North America and Europe and help Kemira to integrate Vinings and Vulcan business models to Kemira standards. During the time North American pulp&paper business was turned to over 10% return of the capital invested. This work teached me to work in american business culture as well as improved communication skills to new level.

Customer Service Engineer / Application specialist for retention applications. Role was to do marketing and internal sales for paper machine retention chemicals. I worked as as project manager for UPM Kymi PM8 paper machine startup from Kemira’s side and did co-operation with other suppliers. Marketing was mostly done with customer visit or as a speaker in conferences, like annual meeting of Pulp&Paper Engineers of Mexico.This work teached me a lot of presentation skills.
