Aquatic Art Technologies, is a professional consulting, design/build and maintenance company that specializes in high end aquariums, LSS (life support systems), coral farming, aquaculture and hydroponic systems. I have over 35 years of experience in aquarium care, animal husbandry, aquarium and LSS design. I founded AAT in 1998 and have been growing corals for the past 25 years.I have been in, on or under the water since the age of 2. I have been operating water craft since the age of 8 and diving since the age of 15. I have been a certified rescue SCUBA diver since 1989. I earned my Bachelor of Science: Major; Biology, Minor; Marine Biology in 1991 from Northeastern University and was accepted into NU’s marine science program in 1989, The Three Seas Program (Oregon, Jamaica, Massachusetts) studying the pacific, Caribbean Atlantic marine life and ocean and coastal processes. I received a Certification in Mari-culture in 1993 from the MBL (Marine Biological Laboratory) Woods Hole, MA. with a concentration in high density aquaculture, cephalopod culture and live food production.I have 8 years of experience as an aquatic toxicologist. I cultured over 15 different species of high quality aquatic organisms, producing millions of organisms annually. I designed and build the RAS systems, managed staff and performed acute and chronic, TIE & TRE aquatic toxicology tests, wrote and developed SOPs on numerous culture and testing protocols to aid in the reduction of aquatic pollution from industry and municipal waste streams.I have 3 years of experience as the Director of Quality Control and Human Resources and managed a staff of 220 employees while living and working in Boston, Ma.Specialties: Excellent problem solving, organizational, time management, and operations skills, mechanically inclined, fabricator, exhibit and LSS design, husbandry, sustainability, coral and fisheries biology and conservation.
