In my current position as a scientific project manager in the field of disaster management, I am coordinating the “German Practitioner Network for Civil Security Research” (short ForAn). At the same time, I am the project manager of the International Forum to Advance First Responder Innovation (short IFAFRI). I have lived, studied and worked in different countries, surrounded by a multicultural and international environment that prepared me for my current networking positions at the German Federal Agency for Technical Relief.I have a background in geophysics and geotechnical engineering. During my young career, I gained substantial experience in offshore data acquisition, laboratory experimental design, laboratory management and communicating/teaching complex results to interdisciplinary audiences. Moreover, I have published and presented my scientific results in various scientific papers and conferences.During my academic education, I gained valuable experience in time management, networking, communication, problem-solving and project management. These practical skills help me to build up the German Practitioner Network for Civil Security Research, a network that empowers German first responder organizations to participate in civil security research.
