The genomics core is a facility that advances the development and implementation of new generation genomic technologies. The facility provides technological and intellectual support for scientific applications as well as provide support for the next generation genetic diagnosis.

We combine theory and experiment to investigate how biological systems work. We often use the common brewer's yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae as a model for more complex eukaryotes; although we are also venturing into research on multicellular organisms, including humans. The CMPG at the K.U. Leuven is dedicated to research of microbe-host interactions.
