1998 started working Corrections for Corrections Corp of America (CCA) I started as an Officer, promoted 2000 to Senior Officer ( SO). Joined the Special Operations Responds Team (S.O.R.T) year of 2000 advanced to Emergency Responds Team ( E.R.T) year of 2002. was nominated by the Team to commander (was called in to Warden office, and explained rules changed and was demoted.) I continued on the E.R.T out of dedication for Corrections. 2002 moved to night shift was Acting Lt. for 2002 to 2004 with Captain Norton. On and off was Acting Lt. for the shift moved to day shift 2004 continued Senior Officer / Activity Officer in charge of compound / Acting Lt. Areas worked and knowledge of policy and proc. and mentored/ running of Rec.yard /hobby craft, Medical Officer / Food Service Officer / Gate Officer / Tower Officer / Master Control on all shifts / Master Control on day shift for Restricted Housing unit. 2007/2008 promoted to Case Management as Corrections Counselor. 2012 Case Manager resigned. I supported my Unit with covering Case Manger for 6 months, and again later for one and a half years before a rehire took place and we received a Case Manager. Dedication!. November of 2014 moved to Big Spring started GEO Group as a Corrections Counselor. 2015 promoted to QA/Compliance for Food Service over four prison Units.I love Corrections I am a dedicate employee for 18 plus years in Corrections, Prayer that GEO Group continues here at Big Spring Texas.
