About Araceli Hernandez

With over 15 years of experience in the field of information technology and academic technology, I found gratification being part end-user technical operations, campus help desks, academic technology, and project management. In my current position as Associate Director of Media and Technical Support Services at Mount Saint Mary's University, I was able to grow strong skills in IT service management, customer service, audio-visual control programming. One of the best parts was being part of preparing students and staff for careers in the IT field. Throughout my years, I assist the department director to manage and lead a department of 50+ employees across two campuses, and help oversee all aspects of end user technical operations and support including audio-visual technology. In my current role, I am always looking for new ways to improve the excellence and accessibility of our services, and to collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to advance the mission and vision of the university.
