My role as an intern was to develop the summer programme curriculum for kids in the age group of 7-12 years. Developing a theme based curriculum which incorporates the various engaging museum spaces with a different perspective and enabling kids to gain knowledge by different planned activities and games focusing on developing history knowledge, enterprise skills and creativity. Curriculum developer responsibilities:Creating a summer programme which focuses on learning through play.The summer programme will be run by undergraduate teachers and volunteers, hence scheme of work needs to be easy to understand, clearly stated and easy to perform. To make the programme interactive for kids various practical learning sessions also needs to be planned. Various responsibilities included:• Creating scheme of work for everyday activities• Aims and objectives of the programme • Feedback forms and Admission form • Time tabling various activities

My key responsibilities and nature of work as a curriculum coordinator were as following:• To maintain a healthy coordination among the teaching staff and committee responsible for developing the curriculum. • Gather feedback from teachers, students and parents about the curriculum and instruction• Researching about innovative teaching tools, methodology, books and ways of implementing them.• Design and implementation of an efficient assessment system which includes data collection and analysis.• Completing the implementation requirements of the curriculum • Evaluating the use of existing resources and technology currently used for teaching purposes and provide the feedback. • Encouraging, guiding and supporting the teachers to follow the best instructional practices by conducting regular seminars and training sessions under the guidance of the administrators. • Assist in providing the continued development in the report card and honouring policies. •Involved in designing of the summer camp theme, “SATURNALIA” and creative learning materials for the primary kids.
