Skills Summary:Oracle Database Administrator – Project Manager – System Administrator Windows - Linux - HP UX 11.31 - HPE-EMC2 Storage.Initially introduced in the Systems group with the Database Administrator job to maintain, install, configure, and tune Oracle Database Application and Database systems in Single Instance or RAC configuration. I designed and implemented DR solutions both through the Oracle Data Guard product in heterogeneous scenarios. I ported Oracle databases from 10G to 11g also in RAC configuration in RAC10G version with 32/64bit kernel to RAC 11g version with Kernel at 64bit. In addition to specializing in Database Administrator, I have provided my support in structural management related to DATACENTER. In September 2017 I completed the External Site Disaster Recovery (MI) project with synchronous data replication implementation (LAYER 3) and HP 3PAR 7200c storage. In December 2019 I started project migration system backup HP Data Protector on new platform DELL - EMC2 Avamar with synchronous replication on disaster recovery site in Milan. I currently manage 6 VMWARE Data Centers in Prod. for a total of about 200 VM windows - linux , providing the necessary software and firmware upgrades to the VMs and project the HW sizing necessary for the renewal cycle both autonomously and in collaboration with HPE and DELL EMC2 partners. For kernel and security updates for VMs and physical servers, I have set up a virtual mirror environment to check for issues before deploying to production with scripts that I customized and in particular for RED HAT machines SATELLITE tool.Finally, I try daily to optimize the management of ORACLE 11 and 12G Databases and HPE 3PAR SANs according to new needs.--------------01-06-2024--------------- My new role as coordinator in the IT DATACENTER ENGINEERS TEAM.After 25 years in the field, i received a new role that basically translates in managing and coordinating the new resources that work with me in the activities of the datacenter.In my new role my primary responsibilities revolve around ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our IT infrastructure.

The greater number of services implemented in high reliability and the heterogeneity of the scenarios as well as the impossibility to expand the server room and the desire to reduce energy consumption and therefore costs, took me to the choice of VMware Virtualization. This has completely revolutionized the existing infrastructure, giving me the opportunity to also implement Oracle RAC 10G/11G to Virtual Clusters VSphere managed centrally with VCENTER. Thanks to Virtualization strategy on Blade Server architecture, to the FC SAN storage HP EVA and to the DataProtector, I was able to create and manage easier an unthinkable amount of database servers, application servers, backup servers,with significantly lower costs by using the classical architecture.
