The team's responsibility is to maintain a smooth seamless operating system, every bit of performance that one expects from Apple.July 2012: Battery Life - iOS - Brute force approaches to improving power and performance is like boiling the ocean, way too many possibilities and essentially infeasible. Oversimplification by using benchmarks to optimize takes it to the other extreme. Apply data analytics to solve problems that are most relevant to customers. Solve real world customer facing problems. Solve them because you understand them, you can see in the data that they are facing these issues and you end up building products customers love.

Power: Responsible for Power Management infrastructure and Power footprint across a wide variety of Multimedia, Modem and Connectivity use cases that help drive low power solutions for OEMs across different HLOS platforms. Managed an ~80 member team (Product, Software, Test and Architecture) to deliver Power Management SW infrastructure for Qualcomm Chipsets. Team delivered Power SW Infrastructure onto MSMs, APQs, MDMs and facilitates integration into 3rd party HLOS (Android, QNX, Nessus, WP7, EA, etc.) for Applications Processor, modem processors as well as other specialized QCOM processors such as sensors, WLAN etc.Audio: Managed ~80 Embedded SW engineers to deliver audio and Voice drivers into 3rd Party HLOS (Android, WP7, BMP etc.) and modem processors.Video: Helped develop Qualcomms first DSP accelerated H.264 video decoder solution that was the precursor for later HW and DSP accelerated solutions.
