The Scenery Hill Civic Board is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that is a group of volunteers that are dedicated to the historical, cultural, economic, tourism, and community needs of the Historic District of Scenery Hill, P.A. Our group focuses on community events, comprehensive planning, fundraising, and project implementation in our historic community. The Washington County Gay Straight Alliance, Inc. is a 501 (C) (3) Organization that facilitates and provides resources for a peer group of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Transsexual, Questioning, Queer, Asexual, and Allied (LGBTQA) youth. The organization also hosts 2nd Friday Nights Potluck, a monthly social gathering for the LGBTQA community of all ages. It is an unfortunate reality that in small towns and rural areas like Washington County there are not as many social opportunities or healthy lifestyle resources available to our youth and the LGBTQA population in general. The WCGSA provides some of these opportunities and is evolving to meet the growing need to do more.
