Selesoft core businesses are system integration and high-level consultancy in the telecommunication, energy management and IOT fields. The company has strong engineering and system integration competencies in optical transport (DWDM, OTN, SDH, SONET, …), carrier packet networks (Carrier ETH, MPLS-TP, …) and network management technologies for what regards TLCs. On the energy management side the company is active in the management of mission critical very high voltage transmission grids, management of renewable resources and process control. In the IOT field Selesoft designs systems dedicated to the infrastructure management and monitoring.My roles are across the Proteco Consortium at which Selesoft belongs. Proteco Consortium is composed by four companies (Selesoft, Softeco, Technovo and Proxy), employs around 350 people with an over-all turn-over of about 35M€.

Responsible for Technologies and Developments for Mobile and Web Applications. In this context, the company, under my responsibility, has developed and commercialized the first mobile app (iOS, Android), which allows the user to perform breathing exercises (for stress reduction, breathing led to the birth , ...) while providing feedback on the quality of their performance through the monitoring of physiological parameters. The application, recently launched worldwide on the iTunes App Store and Google Play has achieved considerable success in both in terms of customer's reviews and downloads (currently around 1M installations).

As responsible for all the software development in charge to the site since its startup, I personally followed both the software team selection and the selection / relationships of the external contractors companies.The team successfully developed the 1850TSS-100 network element. The 1850 TSS-100 is a packet/optical multiservice transport platform that supports any mix of traffic, from all-circuit to all-packet. Its technology independent universal matrix switches packets (ETHERNET / MPLS) or circuits (SDH/SONET/PDH) in their native format and transports them as they are, optimizing overall network efficiency and applicability.

Control and communication platform defines and implements the computer platform to be used by Alcatel-Lucent Optics products. It is composed by the control board hardwares, operating systems with the specific drivers, communication and routing protocols and all the core services needed by a telecommunication equipment (management agents SNMP/TL1, software download and management, backup and restore, redundancy and high availability management).My target was to evolve and redefine the platform and control architecture in line with the new network elements requirements.

Responsible for the development and technical leader for the web interfaces for the Optix network element systems.The target for these web applications is to allow the customer to completely manage a transmission telecommunication system via a standard web browser, this in order to avoid the need for specific software installation so reducing the network management costs. The technology I introduced has been defined as the standard for all the Alcatel-Lucent transmission systems developed worldwide.My responsibilities were the applications delivery on all the products and their development both in features and technology.

Responsible for the development of the interfaces for the integration of the Marconi Network Management Systems into the customer / third parties systems (M2M interfaces). In this role I had to work with most of the major european telecommunication players developing a deep knowledge in the transport network management area.The main product I was responsible for were:- Q3ne to integrate EMS into customer systems (Telecom Italia, Belgacom, Telenor)- Q3nn to integrate NMS into customer systems (Telia, Telefonica)- TMF/MTNM/MTOSI to integrate EMS and NMS customer systems (Deutche Telecom).

Responsible for the design and implementation of the Configuration and Alarm managementsub-systems for the Telecom Italia transport network management systems (SGSDH).

Software developer into the team responsible for the development of the GSM base station (BSC, BTS). I was responsible for the development of the HandOver Procedures inside the BSC.I also developed several boot loaders inside the BSC systems.
