Graduated with a merit in the Physics and Technology of Nuclear Reactors MSc. Previously graduated with a 2:1 in Physics BSc.I joined Babcock International based in Devonport Royal Dockyard in September 2021 as part of a 2 year systems engineering graduate scheme. I was involved in various placements across the site, assisting with both submarines and surface ships, gaining an appreciation of engineering in a unique and challenging environment. This then led me to go into a role of responsibility as a systems engineer supporting design management/engineering delivery for new marine assets. I left this role in February 2024.Currently a systems engineer at Rolls Royce after joining in March 2024.

Aided with Lloyds Structural surveys, work packages for the replacement of equipment onboard and experience in a fast paced, production environment.SRC DA: A part of the Design Authority. Helped at SRC where submarines undergo refuel/defuel ops. Aided with Change Requests and any proposed works within SRCILS Dreadnought: Joined the team working with the Dreadnought project. Systems engineering placement where my main task was to simplify a process document.9D Plant Management: Assisting the team who are responsible for works within 9 Dock for submarines. Engaged with various groups/stakeholders to ensure compliance and safety, while gaining an insight into control of work.Design Management: Currently in a final placement/role supporting Design Management, who try to ensure projects align with the design process and design quality. I am supporting as a systems engineer, working with requirements engineering at the early stage of projects.

After coming off the graduate scheme I am now in a full time role as a systems engineer, working on facilities projects at Devonport Royal Dockyard for the maintenance of Royal Navy Vessels. Role includes:Supporting design management, working on producing user requirements and developing system/sub-system requirements, and looking at verification and validation activities.Engaging with relevant stakeholders/users for projects to establish requirements and supporting the project with the engineering delivery.
