Service Designer
Current➡️ Adaptable, curious, and trusted service designer leading and guiding people and projects to discover, define, and describe experiences and problems to co-design services, journeys, and systems that work for people.▫️Performing virtual and in-person user research with 100s of internal and external stakeholders and users across Scotland.▫️Designing and facilitating service design and systems thinking education and co-creation through workshops, design sprints, and courses for 100s of diverse participants.▫️Representing and illustrating how things work and feel through service and systems mapping and diagramming including service blueprints, journey maps, systems maps, and causal loop diagrams.▫️Sense-making and reframing complex and personal data and insights through synthesis and analysis.▫️Defining and describing services, including co-leading on the development of service catalogues and current and target operating models.▫️Experimenting with uncovered opportunities - prototyping and testing co-created ideas with users and introducing play and games to encourage participation, surface thinking, and spark conversations.▫️Advocating for users, service design, and systemic thinking to diverse stakeholders, from staff to executive leaders, by presenting challenging insights and complex systemic behaviour through clear and diplomatic communication and storytelling - fostering empathy, understanding, and decision-making. ▫️Informing and influencing organisational learning, thinking, language, and culture about the behaviour of systems and services.▫️Led by evidence from user insights, data, external research, and reflections on prototyping and testing.
