"Those of us working in nonprofit organizations need to take our eyes off of overhead ratios and put [our focus] far out into the sky and look at our dreams for impact." - Dan Pallotta At the age of 24, it was clear to me that changing the world is possible. In 2008 I traveled to India with one goal: to be an active player. I founded it-willbe.org to tackle poverty through innovation. After studying business and international relations at ICADE (Madrid) and CESEM (Reims, France) and after my professional experience in strategic marketing and finance (Merrill Lynch) in Paris and Dublin, I decided to take advantage of my business skills to apply them to philanthropy. I dreamed of creating a non-for-profit that would achieve its objectives from the perspective of efficiency, collaboration and impact, with an approach based on education, innovation and effective management. Result of this: two institutional integrations within the sector and some recognitions and awards (among them, the 2015 Citizens Award in the field of Human Rights, the 2018 Princess of Girona Social Award and the EU Women Innovators 2020 from the European Commission). A strong believer in technology and how it can maximise the impact of social projects, in 2017 I led the creation of PPa-People's Protection App to introduce the most advanced biometrics in humanitarian aid to make visible and protect minors living on the streets in developping countries such as India (project awarded by Vodafone Foundation in 2017, COTEC in 2018, Global Champion at the World Summit Awards 2019, GoODS! from the Global Compact 2019 and Humanitarian Technology 2019 from the Red Cross). In 2017 I co-founded Comgo, an exciting project for those of us who believe that blockchain technology is going to disrupt the emerging impact industry, providing the traceability and transparency it needs to ensure that organisations are valued not only for the wealth they accumulate, but for the wealth they generate for others and the planet.
