As a data analyst with a post-degree diploma in data analytics from Langara College, I have a strong background in data manipulation, visualization, and modelling using Python, R, SQL, and Tableau. I have applied my skills and knowledge to various projects and domains, such as healthcare, forensic accounting, and marketing. Most recently, I worked as a healthcare analyst at WorkSafeBC, where I liaised with provincial and governmental agencies to build a natural language processing model to predict the cost tiers of surgeries billed to the organization. I also performed data cleaning, extraction, and analysis using Python scripts and Power BI, and identified fraudulent or discrepant invoice line items, saving the organization thousands of dollars.Previously, I worked as a forensic associate at EY Sri Lanka, where I gained experience in conducting data analytics using MS Excel, constructing anti-bribery and corruption policies for EY clients, fact-based report writing, conducting background checks and due diligence, and enhanced interviewing. I also obtained a certificate in forensic accounting from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka, which demonstrates my expertise and interest in this field.My future aspirations are to pursue a career as a data analyst, where I can leverage my analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, and contribute to the success and growth of the organization. I am passionate about finding insights and solutions from data, and I am eager to learn new tools and techniques to enhance my capabilities and performance.
