As an occupational therapist at the employment office I am responsible to support my colleagues as employment intermediaries with activity-evaluation and consolation.The consultation could be which work could suit this applicant, clarify capacity for work and the medical certificate.I am also responsible to review and evaluate the need and order for different kind of work aids.The variety of the work aids is huge, it could be as simple as an ergonomic adjustable table to special individual custom-made heat-glove for a person with sensitivity for cold.WRI – Worker role Interview, AWP – Assessment of Work Performance and WEIS – Work Environment Impact Scale are some of the evaluation tools that I use.

As an Occupational therapist and the rehabilitation coordinator in a psychiatric clinic I was responsible for the first activity-evaluation and the rehabilitation plan for the patients.I evaluated the patients with various diagnoses such as: ADHD, bipolar, borderline, ADD, depressions, anxiety and many different kind of phobias.The activity-evaluation was by interview and observation during activity. The instrument I used was AMPS (Assessment of Motor and Process skills), ADL-interview (Activities of daily living), ACT for occupational therapist (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy).As an occupational therapist I could evaluate the activity level of the patient and urge the resource of the patient to proceed with a suitable rehabilitation plan.My work as a rehabilitation coordinator meant that I collaborated with the social insurance office, employment office, commune and other healthcare to implement the rehabilitation plan for the patient. I also gave support and endorsement for the doctors in the clinic with the medical certificate.
