Leading the IBM / Red Hat business group with the focus on Hybrid cloud and Mainframe modernisation. This involved building a new practice/business group within Accenture A/NZ from the ground up to bring multi-cloud technologies and practices to customers using the award-winning Opensource Red Hat, IBM technologies, and the Accenture globally recognised business and change leadership.Our joint focus areas involve Multi and Hybrid Cloud transformations, IBM & Red Hat technology modernisation (Data Platforms, legacy Applications, Mainframe) towards cloud-native and multi-cloud solutions, Customer Engagement solutions using IBM Watson and Opensource technologies, and finally customer capability uplift to DevOps and SRE to respond to their business needs quickly.Applying these to the legacy Mainframe environment, we find a lot of opportunities to modernise the s/w packages used on today's Z/OS environments, transform and move off workloads that do not belong to the mainframe, and use Mainframes as part of the Hybrid cloud strategy to bring considerable savings on IT on-prem energy consumption and IT run cost.

An engagement to define the customer experience target architecture, architectural roadmaps and capability gaps that impact the realisation of CX strategy and objectives. The output guided the CX investment across all CX Product streams as well as setting the direction for all programs and product streams to deliver and reuse the key CX components.The work involved CX platforms positioning, Customer API definitions and customer data management, e.g. positioning of Salesforce (Sales and Service), Marketing Automation platforms (Adobe & Lighthouse), architecting the Next Best Action, Customer 360˚ view, Customer social channels and the AI/Chatbots, particulalry for the call centre transformation.Additionally, I partnered with the Salesforce Automation business owner and created and chaired the Salesforce Architecture forum at Qantas to improve the platform governance and roadmap development for the platform across the organisation.

One of the main contributor to the AIDX standard, an IATA working group to set an international standard for data exchange between Airlines and Airports. Represented the A/NZ Airports and led the implementation of AIDX in A/NZ, started with Sydney Airport and Virgin Airline and expanded to other airports.

An engagement with one of the Australia's most innovative organisations (Financial Review - 2016) to formulate their IT Strategy, improve their Cyber and information Security and finally update their IT Service Continuity Plan. The target state and the architectural roadmaps developed to take them to the next level of maturity.To expedite the benefits realisation, a transformation program based on the Lean PDCA approach delivered the agreed future state.The engagement required interaction with all layers within the organisation from the IT management team to the COO, CEO and the Board.
