My primary role was Technical Lead for System Comprehension, a collaborative effort to bridge Legal, Engineering, Finance, and Platform information into a single knowledge graph for Twitter infrastructure. My responsibilities included:- Accelerate Twitter’s FTC compliance responsibilities by developing and delivering an analytics platform for infrastructure data to reduce regulatory response times and compliance tracking.- Partnered with Legal, Privacy, Security and nearly every engineering pillar to define needs, and expose commonalities and deliverables.- Addressed critical and urgent needs through the development of a low code system to speed integration of critical metadata across data analytic pipelines, service tracing and authentication, API gateways, and ownership models by creating self serve portals for reviews- Dependency graph of +5k Services, +4k Endpoints, +100k datasets, and +100k Build Targets and their owners discovered numerous unused assets, including +$50 million dollars in cloud data savings- Twitter Ownership lead, tasked with uncovering Ownership issues across Twitter, partnering with other cross functional teams like migrations, cost efficiency, privacy and legal to improve ownership standards and transparency.

Rearchitected a loosely connected set of products across Trends, Home, Moments, Live Video, Search and Explore, which were collectively responsible for +$250M/yr in Global Partnerships, Promoted Trends and Amplify Videos- Coordinated adoption of new stack based on a semantic knowledge graph across 6 teams and 50+ people, including product, design, engineering, and curation- Group lead for teams working on new products on top of new stack including Named Entity Recognition, Context on Trends, Event Detection, and new versions of Moment and Live Video Curation tools.

Distributed systems engineer for the largest consumer service at Twitter, responsible for Home, Profile, Moments, and many other products, handling millions of production RPS, fanning out to 100s of other services- Led effort to migrate REST endpoints to GraphQL, coordinating across client, product, ads, health, ML and data science to develop migration and testing tools which became the cornerstone for future efforts- Backend Lead for Twitter Timeline API which unified front end components across all Twitter clients

Senior Engineer - Technical Lead for Analytics Data Pipeline Developed data governance tools for Twitter’s analytics stack, critical for determining GDPR risk and personally identifiable information (PII) processing.- Coordinated and led integration effort for majority of analytic platform including Scalding, Hive, Presto, and Summingbird, eventually encompassing Beam, and Airflow jobs- Developed static analysis capabilities to track PII across Twitter schemas

Architect and lead developer for NASA's most widely used planning and scheduling software for operations. Deployed to schedule for Mars robots, International Space Station crew members and power system, as well as Lunar and Earth based exploration systems, it has made operations more reliable, safer, and increased NASAs return on investment.- Architected flexible model driven architecture to reduce deployment costs and increase simulation fidelity for real time resource computation and validation of activities.- Developed resource modeling API using a Javascript Rhino interpreter to allow users to simulate resource usage (crew time, robot memory) and integrate with external simulators (power, heat)- Designed and implemented REST based distributed planning architecture that used a Subversion persistence layer and Lucene indexing of data for efficient access.- Enabled efficient integration with multiple analysis engine for the International Space Station power planning product through data driven UI framework I designed and developed

• Member of a team of programmers who wrote in-house monitoring and reporting tools for use within a webstart launched web application. Division became major selling point of company.• Responsible for real-time filters to aggregate individual internet connections stored within an SQL and logically cluster them into page requests, before storing them back into SQL.• Implemented a highly object oriented topological map user interface (directed graphs and tree tables) to visualize network congestion across the internet using trace routing protocols (TCP & ICMP).
