Committee Duties: The Legislation Committee proposes legislation, when needed, in response to the duties and policies of the Party; maintains a listing of all pending legislation that is of "must" and/or major concern to the Party; and keeps a record of the vote by the Democratic Party legislators on those legislative items. The Legislation Committee makes recommendations and proposes actions on said legislation that is consistent with guidelines adopted by the California Democratic State Central Committee (California Democratic Party) Rules Committee

The California Young Democrats is the official youth arm of the California Democratic Party, comprised of progressive people ages 13-35. Vice Chair-SBA is a very unique officer position for the Division’s Board of Governors. Elected by a vote of all SBA presidents at Annual Meeting, the Vice-Chaoir-SBA represents the collective voice of law school’s student governing bodies. The Community Services Commission:• Advise the City of Hayward as to the most effective means of allocating available resources for community services• Review and study problems and needs of the community programs and develop effective support needed to secure additional resources either through private channels or through the City or other instrumentalities of the government• Make recommendations which will help to develop a sense of community among those concerned with people serving efforts in Hayward and to create awareness and cooperation between the City and those groups doing social service work in the area• Recommend to the City Council legislation or other remedial steps which the Commission should find to be necessary and desirable• Perform other related duties as directed by the City Council

- Successfully prosecuted two trademarks which appeared on the federal gazette on January 18, 2015.- Completed 5 trademark clearances- Drafted a memo comparing terms of use for 4 clipart and video companies- Drafted a work-for-hire agreement- Drafted NDA- Reviewed privacy policiesUnder the supervision of faculty members, students in the clinic provide pro bono legal services to clients involved in a range of intellectual property law issues including copyright and trademark issues. The clinic's initial focus was on handling domain name disputes between large trademark holders and individuals or small businesses in proceedings before the International Corporation of Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN). Another undertaking of the clinic provided college students accused of illegal music downloading with the legal counseling they needed to respond to letters from the Recording Industry Association of America. In another recent project, the clinic consulted and represented numerous parties who were targeted by the U.S. Copyright Group in mass filings against alleged copyright violators. Participating clinic students are certified as registered agents allowing them to practice IP law before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and draft and file trademark applications.
