Aravin graduated from the University of Nottingham Malaysia with a background in Environmental Science. He is a Senior Project Manager at Proforest, with more than 3.5 years of experience in the sustainability sector. He primarily works on responsible sourcing projects for agricultural commodities and contributes to thought leadership on the implementation of Human Rights Due Diligence (HRDD) in supply chains. He also supports multi-stakeholder collaboration projects under the Palm Oil Collaboration Group (POCG). His experience spans all segments of agricultural supply chains across various geographies, ranging from supporting global brands and retailers with their sustainability strategies to assisting production companies and SMEs in implementing their No Deforestation, No Development on Peat and No Exploitation (NDPE) commitments. He gained experience in ESG reporting and sustainability frameworks as a former intern at KPMG. Aravin previously worked at the University of Reading Malaysia, supporting students in career development and environmental education initiatives. He also led various capacity building initiatives in a Malaysian NGO that raises awareness of climate change policies among youths.
