I'm a Techie with 25+ years in software engineering and architecture.I've seen products accumulating architectural exceptions, design short cuts and smelly code over years. I find it very satisfying cleaning up the mess knowing well that it is a never ending job. I obsess over clean readable code, understandable method/class names, neatly structured folders/packages/components, interfaces with minimal surface area and high testability.The same obsession continues with data. Analyzing and paying off data debts is coincidentally turning out to be the first step for a GenAI/ML implementation. I co-founded Nittio Learn, a SaaS based learning product for contact centers and distributed workforce. At Nittio Learn, I was the CTO and led the product, engineering and technology. Nittio Learn was acquired by Whatfix.I started as an engineer at Siemens in telecom network, developing highly available large scale software systems. I continued in the technical line to become an architect and worked in multiple telecom products. I was the lead software architect for 4G core network products at Nokia Siemens Networks (now Nokia Networks).At Whatfix, I'm the lead technical architect responsible for the architecture transformation. I work closely with Whatfix CTO on the Whatfix labs innovation projects and I run the patent program within Whatfix.I started programming in C++ and C in 1995. I moved to Java and C++ as primary languages in early 2000s with the Java portion growing as J2EE/JEE taking hold in the market. With Nittio Lean in 2013, I started using type less programming languages - Python/Flask/NoSQL/Cloud and Javascript/Angular. With Whatfix, I'm back into Java and associated frameworks in the server side and Javascript/react in the client side. I'm a tech stack generalist.
