Hi, I am Arav. I am a masters student (MS in AI Engineering - Biomedical Engineering) at Carnegie Mellon University. I am very passionate about research in the field Data Science and Statistics, with a focus in the field of healthcare and biomedicine and am actively looking for internship opportunities.During my time at CMU, I'm eager to expand my network by connecting with the alumni community and to gain in-depth knowledge through both coursework and cutting-edge research. I am enrolled in Introduction to Machine Learning, Machine Learning in Healthcare, Systems and Tool Chains for AI Engineers and Advanced Physiology. I completed my Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from BITS Pilani, India.During my undergrad, I worked on multiple research projects. I worked as a lead Machine Learning researcher at the Embedded Systems Lab under Prof. KR Anupama where I led a group of 4 undergraduate student and we designed a Fall Detection algorithm using Machine Learning/ Deep Learning and Explainable AI. Under Prof Hemant Rathore, I researched in the field of Malware Detection - designing Adversarial attacks and defense strategies for Android and Windows Malware Systems.Under Prof Sumit Biswas, I assisted in finding the correlation between the change in area of coastline and the population density of Olive Ridley Turtles.I interned at Cisco Systems, India as a Backend Engineer in the Secure Network Analytics team - Security Business Group. During my 8 months at Cisco (2 Months Summer Intern and a 6 Month Winter Intern), I worked primarily on Java - understanding the dependencies in the codebase, identifying end-of-life features and removing them from the product. I also worked on Debian filewatchers for a mini-project.
