I am an experienced auditor with strong financial and accounting skills and knowledge. I have led various financial and Value for Money (VfM) audits within the public sector. I also have extensive experience of mentoring younger members of staff throughout my time at the National Audit Office (NAO). I am quick to adapt to new working environments and I have worked with a diverse range of people using my excellent interpersonal skills and sharp analytical mind to build good working relationships. My work in a number of areas has been published and used by the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) to hold the relevant government departments to account.I continuously used analytical and numerical skills in my degree and PhD research and presented academic talks at Bristol, in Scotland and Italy. As an independent researcher I have taken initiative on numerous occasions, taken responsibility for projects, worked under-pressure, applied my knowledge to new situations and communicated with other researchers from around the world.
