Advancing on the previous role of IT Administrator / Support within the brands of Neville Johnson, Tom Howley & recently acquired London Door Company. Taking on the main focus of responsibility for the Technical IT within the Group of companies. The Neville Johnson and Tom Howley brands grew in size from circa 350 to 650 employees along with an increase from 15 to 25 UK-wide sites in my first 2 years of service alone.- Advising the company on technology solutions available and specifying the correct needs for the business. Negotiating on price with suppliers for large IT purchases.- Making business critical decisions whilst under pressure with time or location constraints.- Reviewing risk and benefits to the business and putting forwards solutions to executive management and company directors.- Leading the Junior IT support Engineer in their day to day development.- Managing projects, such as system changes, upgrades, site refurbishments, new sites. Planning the IT requirements of up and coming changes to the company. Examples:- Installation of a whole new network and fibre link in one of the manufacturing sites due to continued expansion.- Set up and day to day management of an Apple MDM Server (with DEP and VPP) to manage to ever increasing number of mobile devices and Apple Estate- Working on a continuous improvement plan for IT. Bringing in new policies, streamlining procedures and focusing on security and information management.- Aligning and updating IT equipment and process to integrate the London Door Company into the group after acquiring the business. Upgrade and installation of showroom equipment, factory network expansion (fibre link, security, enhanced network and new office space).

Providing technical IT Support across the BHID Group (Neville Johnson and Tom Howley brands).- End user support for PC Hardware and software, Large Apple Estate including Macs, iPads, iPhones. Support for remote desktop access, printers, plotters, network equipment (SonicWALL security devices, VPN, HP Switches, Cisco Access Points). Many users who work remotely from home, on the road or in showrooms around the UK.- Set up and support of IT equipment in external sites, such as showrooms and factories.- Management of Microsoft Servers, including use of Active Directory, Exchange Server, MSSQL, RDP.- Responsible for company data back ups- Administration of Avaya IP Office Telephone Systems.- Support for in-house CRM and ERP solutions.- Management of internal projects, including upgrade cycles and implementing new IT procedures (including the implementation of a service desk ticketing system, security improvements (password policy, mobile device encryption and user education) along with any relevant processes). - Dealing with suppliers and managing external support contacts. Purchasing hardware, software and completing deals with external suppliers.- Managing part-time IT Assistant through monitoring and delegating appropriate work.

Started as an assistant to the full time engineer in the university run not-for-profit IT shop carrying out repairs and sales. Proceeded to become senior assistant and the main IT engineer looking after the shop independently throughout times of the full time engineers absence.- Assisting customers, carrying out sales, diagnosis and repairs of staff and students' personal products and providing advice. Placing stock orders and organising repairs.- Responsible for running the whole shop alone for 4 months during summer of 2013 while the engineer was on secondment (Sales increased 98% in this period due to becoming more well known. I also more than doubled the social network reach withinjust a week through regular updates, sharing and offers).- Due to previous successful managing of the shop, I was again made responsible for the running of the shop for around 4-5 months over summer 2014 until a new member of staff was employed (due to previous engineer leaving). I spent two weeks training up this new member of staff independently.- Continued to be responsible for managing the shop alone during the engineer's absence

Checked teaching spaces (lecture theatres, computer labs, seminar rooms) and meeting rooms frequently to check all equipment was operating correctly. Solving any issues if possible or reporting it to the full time engineers.Setting up any new university equipment, performing upgrades and solving issues for the university related equipment and staff.I continued to carry out this role whilst also picking up the new role of IT Workshop Assistant throughout the months of September to December 2012.

IT Placement at Gold Medal Travel Group (Part of the Emirates/dnata group).Working in IT Project Management Office as a Business Analyst (along with shadowing other areas).Main project was to aid in improving the current flight caching solution for various sales channels.This Industrial Experience is part of the final year of my Computer Science degree.
