Atif Ashraf is an Architect and a corporate (life) member of PCATP as well as IAP. He has been granted exemption from RIBA I & II examination, accredited by the Common Wealth Association of Architects in 1995-96. His recent experience includes the responsibilities on behalf of The Citizens Foundation (TCF), for designing, execution, coordination & critically monitoring the progress, identify the strengths and weaknesses and assist the construction managers in focusing on progress and quality. Further his responsibilities include the contract negotiations, budget management, management of small and medium size TCF School projects (nominated for the Aga Khan Award of Architecture 2009). His past experience with Lari Associates as Architect & Studio Manager includes the ABN Amro Bank: Country Office building, Ladies Sports Complex and proposals for The state-of-the-art Burns Centre—Jubilee and Victoria Blocks: Civil Hospital; Karachi. As an Architect and Research Assistant with Heritage Foundation HF—a recipient of UN Recognition Award for 2002 for promotion of culture and peace, he has been involved in documentation, photography of Historical buildings and surveys of down town Historic areas of Karachi, Lahore and Peshawar. He has generously contributed his creative talent to several of HF publications. The research work and layout of the Travel Guide Lahore, Heritage Guide Karachi, The Dual City—Karachi during the Raj and Peshawar Document 1 have been compiled by him. In the year 1998-2000, he was engaged as a Digital Architect and Map Repair Specialist with LDM Associates on World Bank project "Strengthening of Land Management System at KMC HO Bldg. In the late 1990,s & early 2000 he was the Chief Coordinator and Event Manager for KaravanKarachi events and was awarded by Governor Sindh in appreciation of his great work for KK Festival 2001.
