Subsea fiber optic cable jointing, hang- off, land cable splicing/termination in ODF and patch panels for backbone network as per required oil/gas standards. Skilled and trained in using the Nexans Joint for submarine cable URC1 - URC1 Joint; URC1 - DSC Transition Joint; URC1 - URC3 Transition Joint.Knowledgeable in Submarine Cable Joints using UJ Technology (Universal Joint), UQJ (Universal Quick Joint) and of the MJ Technology (Millennia Joint). Plan and arrange cable transfer operations of submarine fiber optic cables to cable ships and vice versa. Helps in planning quarterly maintenance of jointing tools and equipments on board cable ships and at Depot. Prepares repair reports, tools and equipment verification list and calibration.Prepares plan of work and method of procedure for cable repair.Performs cable engineering works on board the vessel, in charge with the daily reporting with client on technical related issues during cable operations.Performs grapnel, streaming, buoy off , cable laying, joint and final bight deployments.Handles technical team jointers and testers on board during cable operations.Communicates with cable system owners for their system requirements and planning.
