After successful completion of the course I then introduce these professionals to large consulting firms where they can use these skills to get ahead in their career.

Ofload is Australia’s leading digital road freight service, helping businesses achieve efficient, flexible and sustainable supply chains.My role was to promote inorganic growth through a roll-up strategy of freight brokers in Australia. This involved an end-to-end M&A process, from developing an investment thesis through to deal completion & post acquisition integration.During my time at Ofload I:- Completed two acquisitions of freight brokers in Australia, significantly contributing to Ofload's early growth- Raised a debt facility as part of Ofload's $60 million Series B, as reported in the AFR- Successfully integrated the two teams, which involved setting up a new head office in Melbourne

Within the Financial Due Diligence team I worked across a range of transactions, including Initial Public Offerings, Capital Raisings and Mergers & Acquisitions, providing financial analysis on the target company to drive key decisions.My focus was on Mid Market transactions with a valuation between $10 million to $250 million however I worked on transactions up to $10+ billion.The work performed involved reviewing the underlying data from the financial statements to understand how the business operates and to identify any potential red flags, with the key deliverable being a Financial Due Diligence report.

In the Financial Statement Assurance team I worked with clients to ensure their financial statements were reasonably stated in line with accounting standards.I worked across a range of industries with a particular focus on Real Estate. My major Real Estate clients included:- Scentre Group (Westfield)- Hilton Hotels AustraliaSome of the key pieces of work that I led included:- Expected Credit Loss: during Covid all Real Estate companies had to develop complex ECL models with highly uncertain assumptions about the impact on their business. I worked with my clients to stress test their assumptions and the robustness of their models.- Investment Properties: during Covid, Real Estate valuers made significant changes to capitalisation rates and included assumptions around expected vacancy rates and deferred rent. I worked with my clients to understand the impact of these changes on their portfolio, with some clients having 30+ properties in a range of different locations with a spread of valuers all providing different assumptions.- Overall Analytical Reviews: for each of my clients I would produce an analytical review across their financial statements to understand the key drivers in the movements year on year.These key pieces of work developed my analytical thinking and provided me with a strong financial modeling foundation.
