As the Materials Engineering Director at Nike, I lead a diverse team of engineers responsible for delivering materials, process, and equipment innovation for extrusion, foam, injection molding, and Nike AIR aesthetics in support of new product innovation and sustainability strategic initiatives. My passion is to create and implement operational systems that improve root cause corrective action and resolution of long-standing manufacturing challenges, establish functional rigor in materials engineering to drive end-to-end innovation and scale-up of materials and processes, and manage materials product development engineers across multiple plastics manufacturing platforms. I have demonstrated success in all aspects of technology, ranging from strategy and pathfinding to manufacturing operations, technology transfer, and global scale-up. I am also an accomplished contributor and author with multiple granted patents and peer-reviewed publications, including Science and Advanced Functional Materials, in the field of semiconductor nanostructures and quantum dots.
