I am currently a graduate student pursuing a MA in clinical mental health counseling as I work towards licensure as an LPC in the DMV area! Good quality social relationships have been shown to possess an incredible protective healing power, and their absence can lead to greater risk for early mortality than alcoholism or smoking; at the center of my philosophy as a student and eventual purveyor of psychology is to strive to always provide the sort of connection and empathy that can truly buffer one from the negative imprints of our society. I am especially passionate about expanding the accessibility of and reducing the cultural barriers to mental health care so as to ensure communities of color and underserved populations can be uplifted and empowered through trauma-informed interventions.My tentative areas/populations/frameworks of interest include: trauma, PTSD, OCD, depression, anxiety, relationships, adolescents, adults, person-centered/humanistic, psychodynamic
