An epidemiologist and social scientist, Dr Mohapatra has expertise in designing and managing multi-partner networks and multi-site epidemiological research projects and in grantsmanship, and has rich experience of working in focused research and policy translation environments. He also engages actively with research enthusiasts for training and capacity building. He is on the editorial board of Indian Journal of Community Medicine besides being a Guest Associate Editor for Frontiers in Public Health Policy and for Frontiers in Public Health Education and Promotion.Dr Mohapatra has been intensely involved in several research projects that have translated into national policy (e.g., GOI SOP for management of COVID-19 in rural and peri-urban India, RBSK, PSBI guidelines, etc).Dr Mohapatra was previously employed with International Clinical Epidemiology Network (INCLEN), Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences and Save the Children. He has philanthropic engagements with NGOs for community services. He has been awarded research and academic assignments within India and abroad. He also has experience in training medical graduates and post graduates, nursing students, and students from management sciences and in mentoring interns and team members.Dr. Mohapatra completed his MBBS from SCB Medical College, Cuttack and MD in Community Medicine from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. He has had executive education in General Management from IIM, Kozhikode.
