As a Project/Site Architect in a construction company, my role involved overseeing the design and construction of buildings and other structures. This involved working closely with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure that all aspects of the project were carried out according to plan.One of my main responsibilities was to review and approve all construction plans and designs, ensuring that they met all safety, building, and zoning regulations. This involved working closely with the design team to identify any potential issues and ensure that any changes made were properly documented and communicated to all stakeholders.Throughout the construction process, I was also responsible for conducting site visits to ensure that the construction was proceeding according to plan. This involved monitoring the work of the contractors and ensuring that they were using the correct materials and techniques. I also provided guidance and support to the contractors and engineers to help resolve any issues that arose during the construction process.In addition to overseeing the construction of buildings and structures, I also played a key role in ensuring that the project was completed on time and within budget. As an intern in an Architectural firm, I was able to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of the architectural design process. My responsibilities included conducting site visits, creating architectural drawings using AutoCAD, SketchUp etc. and assisting the team with design presentations.One of the most valuable experiences was working on a High end residence, Apartments, Commercial projects. I was responsible for creating detailed drawings of the building's elevations, floor plans, exterior and interior designs and MEP systems.Additionally, I was given the chance to work on smaller residential, commercial and mixed use building projects. This allowed me to gain experience in the design of smaller-scale buildings and to understand the unique challenges they present.Overall, my internship provided me with a comprehensive understanding of the architectural design process and the role of an architect in bringing a project to life. I was able to develop my technical skills and gain valuable insight into the industry. It was a great learning experience that has helped me in my future career in architecture.
