With Optum’s acquisition of Change Healthcare, I was promoted for the purpose of supporting ongoing company-wide strategic initiatives. I continue to provide general support on call.Currently architecting the convergence of two massive healthcare software applications. This effort requires me to coordinate with other software professionals and project stakeholders to research, develop, test, deploy, and provide ongoing support for the new single application.

Hired to architect and lead a live Cloud to Cloud migration of 87,000 customers (650 TB of data) from Microsoft Azure to Google Cloud, the completion of which was projected to save the company $1.5M in annual cloud costs.This effort, which took 16 months from start to finish, required me to gather business requirements and translate them into technical requirements, coordinate with teams internally and externally, and lead the development and deployment efforts.The migration was highlighted as a strategic win for the company prior to its acquisition by Optum/UHG in 2023.

Provided core product development for partnership integrations, which required my expertise in multisystem integrations, single sign-on, API development, Azure function rollouts, and reporting.

Provided contract services to large corporations and government entities. My efforts directly impacted Vespa Group’s landing at #250 on the Inc. Magazine’s 2019 list of 5000 Most Successful Companies in America.Highlights of my contract work:Team lead on a large accounting and tax software project for one of the top ten largest global accounting firms in the world. Developed a modern web application using an agile process while coordinating with data teams and product management. Angular, Typescript, .Net Core Web API, Azure SQL, Azure Datalake, and Azure Devops were utilized to deliver a modern, scalable application to support millions of transactions and documents.With Booz Allen Hamilton, designed, created, and maintained a very large web service to support 12+ MS Dynamics systems for a federal government entity. This service was made to scale in a load balanced, micro-services architecture that featured practically zero downtime during deployments and upgrades, while providing data services for thousands of US agents and millions of US citizens.

As the Senior .NET Developer on the engineering team, I developed a new restful, single-page web application based in AngularJS, .NET WebAPI 2, Entity Framework, and backed by a SQL Server database. Master data management services were also developed to maintain accurate data repositories.

Technical lead in the creation of custom software solutions for clients. Mentored other developers and lent guidance to several software architecture boards.Monitored application performance trends with Circonus and AppDynamics. Evaluated error reports and system logs for patterns and trends, seeking solutions and enhancing internal error reporting tools.Designed and implemented automated systems to replace manual regression testing strategies.
