About Niels Van Eeden

I am Niels van Eeden and was born in Amersfoort (The Netherlands) on 26th of March. Currently I live in Weert (The Netherlands). My career started after graduating in 2004 the bachelor course “Software engineering” at Eindhoven. (Fontys Hogescholen)During my career I have been specializing in software engineering, and in particular on Java development.This specialism was formed by achieving a wide collection of certificates. This theoretical knowledge was extended by experiences from the field in projects and at customer sites, operating in different branches.During these work experiences, I have been participating in larger and small(-er) projects. In which I could fulfill different roles, varying from designer, interfacing to implementer.With these projects, different working methodologies were used. Although current focus is on agile methodology (Scrum / XP), I have gained experience in Rup (-based) methodology as well.The last years, I have been mixing the team lead role with the Java architect role for multiple in-house and on-site teams. I have done migrations with full Java EE platforms as a target. I was the technical backbone of the team, clearing impediments, providing solutions and assisting on the technical difficulties on such projects.This involved also off-shore in India and its time and culture related challenges.I am also known for my “hands-on nature”. Besides that I can adept quickly to new work environments and new technologies.I am a real team player, know how to motivate my team and can communicate my vision clearly about the project.Specialismen: See the sections "Certifications"​ and "Skills"
