ARC-IT provides services in the domain of operation research, logistics and supply-chain optimization. In most cases the goal is to find an optimal solution for a business problem, given a set of constraints. Successful implementation requires strong business modeling and mathematical skills. Main characteristics are complex business processes, asynchronous message exchange, high data volumes and ingestion rate combined with complex queuing mechanisms. Improvements have been formulated and implemented on different aspects of the existing architecture, from database design, queue setup to business process reengineering.In order to pinpoint defects and suggest improvements multiple proof of concepts have been implemented:• Optimized allocation logic for gas and electricity (CATAN)• Architecture of the outbound messaging system (OMA)• Logic to formalize,centralize & automate complex batch shedulingLead architect for the DIME systemGiven the rollout of smart metering in Belgium, high growth in volumes of metering data is expected in the years to come. Centralization and rationalization of the different parts-pricing systems of all distributors cross-Europe. The system handles over 2.000.000 parts of all models of Toyota. I was responsible for the business and information architecture as well for the offshore development coordination.
