Performed multiple rounds of architectural and performance analysis for the Office of the CTO, identifying architectural and performance deficiencies and bottlenecks, and recommending remediation steps for a legacy Java OSGi platform.Conceived, architected and implemented full-stack: • Second generation application platform based on Java EE (WildFly, Postgres-XL, HAProxy) • Third generation application platform based on Python (Flask, Postgres-XL, HAProxy and Cloudify). The delivered platforms were built from the ground-up with full DevOps automation including: • Complete and uniform developer machine and Continuous Integration (CI) / Continuous Delivery (CD) build and test environment orchestration (software and configuration) allowing single-command bare-OS provisioning in under 5 minutes (under 1 minutes on average). • The environments provisioned on the developer machine, CI and CD are virtually identical to allow for extremely high-fidelity reproducibility of fully automated end-to-end integration tests. • Full Version Control System-driven (VCS) environment versioning on the development environment and in CI/CD. • Scalable Amazon Web Services-based (AWS) build and test cluster with ephemeral file systems allowing slave reuse in under 2 minutes (under 1 minute on average). • Complete end-to-end testing of every staged commit. • Complete (100%) coverage enforcement for unit and integration tests and unit-test reporting for every production build and staged commit. • Architected REST API compliance test suite to ensure complete agreement between UI and backend layers. • Architected, refined and enforced code review and commit acceptance policies and procedures.
