I was selected to join a team of 21 globally sourced Marines executing an advising mission to Afghan National Security Forces. I played a key role in training the team with regard to tactical operations. In a deployed environment I planned and led over 40 missions. I advised an Afghan joint command on logistics doctrine, achieving measurable improvements according to NATO standards.

I was directly responsible for the proficiency, discipline and welfare of over 60 Marines and readiness of more than 90 principle end items in both combat and garrison environments. I planned and led 62 missions comprised of resupply, backhaul and vehicle recovery tasks, as well as provided direct support to a battalion during a named combat operation.

I worked at two different warehouses during completion of my undergraduate course work. Costco was instrumental in setting an example for a work place and providing a foundation for my appreciation for efficiency. During my time in the Visalia, CA (134) and Clovis, CA (135) warehouses, I was a front end employee and gained experience and friendships from the Costco team that continue to influence my professional development.
