At iD Tech's CalTech location, I infused every aspect of the program with energy and creativity. From promoting themed weeks to orchestrating logistics, I ensured that day-to-day operations ran smoothly for 700 students with a tight-knit team of 14 instructors. I created a vibrant, engaging environment where everyone embraced their camp spirit and was reluctant to leave at the end of the week! Finding the balance between learning and fun was key.My role encompassed overseeing camper safety and well-being—administering First Aid, CPR, and medications, keeping detailed health logs, and leading safety drills. I was the go-to person for students and parents, resolving concerns and upholding the high standards that iD Tech is known for.. With a focus on excellence, I coached staff, set curriculum goals, and stepped in as needed, always with the aim of fostering a fun, supportive, and productive atmosphere.

After working in several unconventional roles, I wanted to get a taste of an environment known for being enjoyable and pleasant for the customers as well as the employees. I hoped to work alongside managers who embody camaraderie and use stellar teamwork skills to lead a large team. Trader Joe's was the first place to pop into mind.What you hear about the store is mostly true. The biggest misconception is that the cashiers are flirting with you. They're not—they're just doing their job, engaging with customers. Other than that? Yeah, it really is place employees enjoy being at. The joking are endless, as is the creativity behind each joke. (I discovered just how gullible I am!) I learned the power behind saying hello to every person, and how that energy fosters a light-heartedness and unity—a desire to share ideas and lend a hand whenever possible. At the end of the day, it's just groceries. It's everything else that makes it special.My time at TJ's was brief, but I'm carrying this experience with me everywhere I go.

This was such a unique experience! I joined local bakery Keto Sweets LA as a vendor representative at several farmer market locations across Los Angeles County: Calabasas, Northridge, and Monrovia. The job included setting up and tearing down the booth, educating customers about "keto," and sampling the rotating menu (a special shoutout to the cheesecake). However, the true essence of the job, as cheesy as it may sound, was building connections within the community. There's no better way to be immersed into a community than to join a farmer's market and surround yourself with the backbone of a town. While the ice-cold mornings of winter and the sweltering afternoons of summer made some days especially challenging, the exchange between neighbors made it worth every moment. Plus, it's hard to beat dancing to a rock 'n' roll cover band (loud enough that no one can hear your own singing) on a warm summer's night while satisfying the sweet-tooths of passerby.
