Performs budget formulation work by creating detailed budget spreadsheets using the Commander's resource Integration System (CRIS) and Microsoft Office Excel; Tracks detail of expenditures including orders, travel settlements, commercial air tickets, and Military Inter-Departmental Purchase Requests (MIPR). Performs budget analyses by researching pulled data and then creating detailed monthly and annual budget estimates and reports using CRIS and the Financial Management System Suite (FM Suite); Examines detailed cost records regarding TCA funds committed and the legal obligation of TCA funds. Daily acts as the financial liaison between the armed forces of the United States and the military forces within the CENTCOM AOR to build and strengthen reliable relationships and foreign partner capacity. Provides the issue of travel funding regarding funds transferred to all components for military-to-militarty activities of traveling contact teams using the Defense Travel System (DTS).

Appointed as a Fund Certifying Official: reviewed and analyzed a wide variety of accounting documents, reports, policies and procedures which ensured proper financial requirements. Used the General Accounting & Finance System (BQ) to manage, approve and process over $500,000 dollars of appropriated funding records monthly. Researched and corrected over $150,000 dollars in mismatched Commercial Ticket Office (CTO) travel billings that enabled resource managers to balance their travel funds. Used the Micro Based Budget Automated System (MICROBAS) to audit, correct and balance a monthly average of 2,200 Merged Accountability Funding Record (MAFR) transactions made in error. Drastically reduced the MAFR error rate from 25%percent to less than 10% percent. Certified and processed over 800 funding invoices per month in the Automated Business Service system (ABSS).
