Update II : completely took a new path when I decided to make a career change and dig into the marvelous world of Niche and High Perfumery. While being trained since months to take the role of manager in Philippe K.'s boutique, I'm enjoying meeting customers that are looking for an exclusive sensory experience. It is a bit scary and somehow exciting at the same time to say goodbye to a company and industry where I've worked for almost 10 years, but a very (not that wise) man said once, "The only things one never regrets are one's mistakes". Update: after having spent almost 3 years as a business developer, I wanted to go back to my roots, my first love, counceling while learning new management skills. I'm back in the sales game surrounded by amazing people !It all started when I decided to study abroad with ESL. Had I known on my way to Brisbane that the company I’d put my trust in to organize this adventure would be my future employer,I wouldn’t have believed it. After finishing my marketing studies,I was ready to fully embrace the world of work, and by chance, the Lausanne office was looking for a Language Travel Consultant. This role helped me to acquire the knowledge about the company, the industry and the services we offer,and after having successfully embraced my tasks during almost 5 years, I was offered a position as a business developer for Switzerland.To go more into details, after one amazing year during which I learnt a lot in the Lausanne office,I made up my mind and went back to school to pass my Junior Sales Manager certificate while working at the same time; such a hectic and challenging time which lasted almost 2 years. When I finally got my diploma, I knew that I still had one big weakness, which could clearly slow my carrier here in Switzerland: my German skills. Why not undertake a second stay abroad to learn this tough language once for all? I worked part time from the ESL Berlin office and I improved my German skills while taking morning courses in one of our partner schools during 6 months. When I came back from Berlin,I was offered this new position which didn’t exist before,and it’s as exciting as challenging to develop this new role and everything that goes with it.
