Relevant responsibilities of the role include:• Negotiate future contracts with consultants, suppliers and contractors, and manage the awarded ones. The portfolio includes an average of 15 ongoing projects per month, spread across the organization, which are managed through a tailor made project portfolio control and report system, and allows for a global understanding of the workload. • Provide CEOs and Boards of Directors with engineering and construction advice, through high quality reporting, transforming high volumes of technical data into simple and understandable decision-making information.• Provide support to Business Units at all levels by transferring know-how on port design and construction, structural and geotechnical engineering, material handling, coastal processes and general project management. This know-how is fundamental to define accurate project scopes and to lead projects on time and budget, aligned with the corporate strategy and the particular needs of each Business Unit. Show less

Member of the Resource Management committee in charge of developing career paths and a training policy for employees, and of the Environment Committee transmitting care for the environment leading the implementation of projects to reduce energy consumption, control white paper use and manage recyclable waste. Relevant projects include:- Detailed engineering and construction assessment for the intake and outfall structures of the Red Dragon thermoelectric plant in Mejillones,- Detailed engineering for the deepening of a sheetpile quay wall and the detailed design of a double sheetpile wall at San Antonio Port, - Deepening of sites 2 & 3 at Angamos Port,- Corrosion evaluation study for the marine structures of GNL Quintero.
