I graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Colorado, Boulder with a double major in journalism and media production and a double minor in leadership studies and sociology. I am passionate about research on racial and educational inequality and media and technology's impacts on these issues. I participated in the INVST Community Studies Leadership program and the Multicultural Leadership Scholars program and was also inducted into the Kappa Tau Alpha Journalism Honors Society. During my time at CU, I presented my honors thesis about criminalized representations of the Black body to multiple conferences. I hope to continue to enhance and use my skills and education to explore the sociological impacts of media. I also hope to use arts as a vehicle for communicating to a broad public about how to make skillful, strategic, and positive social change. I am now studying media and cultural studies in a MA + Ph.D. program at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, where I am also a teaching assistant.
