Arev Manoukian plays with art and technology to tell stories in ways that challenge the imagination. Ever meticulous in his work, he thrives on being involved in all aspects of the creative process. He turned one of his daydreams into an award-winning short film, the stunning hyper-real fantasy Nuit Blanche. The film won the Grand Prize at the LG Film Festival and the coveted Golden Nica at Prix Ars in Europe. It has been featured in magazines such as Wired, Creativity, Campaign Magazine, Shots, Siggraph, Motionographer and Stash Magazine. It has also been featured at an exhibition at the MMOMA. Since then, Arev has gone on to direct broadcast, interactive and cinema commercials for clients such as Sony, Nokia, 20th Century Fox, Mazda, Ford, Lincoln Motors, Wrigley, Unilever, Palmolive, the NFL, Cineplex Cinemas and a music video for six-time Grammy Award winning musical artist Skrillex. His commercial work has been featured in Vice, Adweek, Creativity, Campaign, Brandweek Playback, Shots, FXguide, Stash, Digital Arts and Applied Arts Magazine. His work has won at the One Show and Bessies Awards, and has been nominated for a Cannes Lions. He most recently founded Omniverse Media, a VR production company currently developing Spacewalk: The Virtual Experience, with a NASA astronaut and spacewalk mission controller.
