The project is a 5-megawatt (MW) solar photovoltaic (PV) power plant in Sylhet district, being developed by a joint venture between Japanese firm Eiki Shoji Company Ltd and Sun Sun Solar Limited. Situated in Sylhet Gowainghat within the Sylhet district in northeastern Bangladesh, it occupies more than 13 hectares of privately purchased land. Development activities for the project commenced in 2016, with electricity generation anticipated to commence in 2024.
