I am a development sector professional with a degree in Architecture and a Master’s in Planning with specialization in Housing. I am passionate and motivated to work towards inclusive, sustainable and resilient development. My career interests lie mainly in conducting research and building community resilience through evidence-based strategies and streamlined processes. Through my on-ground experiences I have developed a deep understanding and curiosity about inclusive finance, policy, and the implementation of efficient built environments at the grassroots. I am currently working as a Program Coordinator (Research and Program Design) with the Built Environment team at SELCO Foundation, actively participating in identifying and developing Programs and evidence based research towards democratized design. This provides me with an opportunity to conduct FGDs, workshops and consultations with partners, government officials and other key stakeholders, in addition to carrying out market studies and discussions with targeted end users from low resource settings. These activities help to capture the problem statements and challenges they face in their built environments due to climate change, disasters, unaffordability and informality.
