My responsibilities include creating activities and assessments using age-appropriate texts that will challenge and motivate elementary and secondary students to become socially-engaged citizens while being CCSS-aligned and rigorous. I coordinate remotely with team members across the country and meet strict deadlines weekly.

I taught 6-8 English and Remedial Reading as well as 9-11 English and Remedial Reading. Using CCSS, I created unit plans, implemented daily lesson plans, and track data. I attended professional development regularly to inform my practice.

I was responsible for the day-to-day operations of a childcare facility with over 200 children, 30 employees, and 3 supervisors. I organized training weekends, scavenger hunts, field trips, hiring fairs, and weekly schedules. I communicated with parents and stakeholders consistently to provide the most up-to-date information about the organization. I also occasionally got hit in the face with a water balloon or rogue pie on Fun Fridays. . Flexibility and adaptation were keys to success in this role.
